The Christian apologists oftentimes argue wrongly that playing with idols is a proof for the immaturity of Aisha, as they think the idols are supposedly permitted only for the underage children to play. That is wrong. Prohibition of having the idols in Q.5, v.90 comes just at a later stage of Islam, i.e. about 6 years after migration, or 3 years after the battle of Uhud, alongside a prohibition of drinking the intoxicant alcohols and an amusement of gambling. Prior to the time, just like the teenagers, the women are allowed to play with the idols for their amusement.

Quran Q.5, v.90 is revealed in 6 years after migration in Madinah infers or implies that prior to that time it was not strongly prohibited for the Moslem woman to play with idols for her amusement.

Qur’an Q.5, v.90 that is revealed in 6 years after migration in Madinah infers or implies that “prior” to that time it “was not” strongly prohibited for the Moslem woman to play with idols for her amusement. Similar case also happens on the drinking of the intoxicant alcohols and gambling.

If it is permitted to rephrase what James White says, I would like to say that as far as I know uniformly all Christian and Jewish apologists since 7th century till recently had never contend against the practice of Aisha’s marriage. There “was” a total silence. Zero, zilch, null, nought, nothing, sifr, none. Both the Western hemisphere and the Judeo-Christendom had accepted the marriage between a young woman and an old man as a norm. Until recently.
