Jesus teaches that if you do not love your enemies you will go to hell

Love Your Enemies

(Leviticus 24:17-23; Matthew 5:38-48)

Luke 6 v 27 But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you, 28 Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you. 29 And unto him that smiteth thee on the one cheek offer also the other; and him that taketh away thy cloke forbid not to take thy coat also.

30 Give to every man that asketh of thee; and of him that taketh away thy goods ask them not again. 31 And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise. 32 For if ye love them which love you, what thank have ye? for sinners also love those that love them. 33 And if ye do good to them which do good to you, what thank have ye? for sinners also do even the same. 34 And if ye lend to them of whom ye hope to receive, what thank have ye? for sinners also lend to sinners, to receive as much again.

35 But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.36 Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.

One Response to Jesus teaches that if you do not love your enemies you will go to hell

  1. Anonymous says:

Different than a common understanding, the Hell is just a name for the “flaming underworld” where the soul lives solitary under the extreme heat, as inside a furnace, *before* the arrival of the Judgment Day.
Before each man’s soul is taken up again from the Hell (for sinners) or delivered up from the Death (for believers) before the Day of Judgment, the Lake of Fire was made first as the abode or habitat of Satan, demons, the beasts and their false Prophets (Rev 20:10).
Afterward, after the world turns to the absolute calm without evilness, each soul is revived again to face the final judgment, and eventually everyone will be saved, except a group of unknown people whose name is not written in the Book of Life (Rev 20:15).
    Rev 20
10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the Lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and Death and Hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.14 And Death and Hell were cast into the Lake of fire. This is the second death.15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the Lake of fire.

Neither Jesus nor Paul nor other writers of the NT ever indicate to have attained the secret or the knowledge of “who” they are (whose name is not written), or “why” their names have not been written, or “how” their names have got possibly deleted or defaced.
