Prophet Muhammad just takes 2 years to fully control the city of Makkah after having been accepted by the Makkah’s rulers as a negotiator of truce at the town of Hudaybiyyah.

  2. madmanna says:

He broke the truce by attacking Mecca in breach of the truce. Taking the city in a suprise attack.

There’s no such a “surprise” nonsense. The Makkah’s heathens know how they (Banu Bakr) breached the truce by killing the Moslems of Banu Khuza’a, even shedding the blood of Moslems around the Ka’bah areal.

Also, on purpose to try to negotiate the avoidance of conquest, some Makkah’s leaders such as Abu Sufyan and Abbas numerous times traveled back and forth between Makkah and the places where Prophet Muhammad continuously marched on.

Moreover, Prophet Muhammad doesn’t come to Makkah secretly, rather he intentionally kindles the fire on purpose to make the flames glow up around the hills and high places just outside the city, hence the Makkah’s heathens could witness it and may get prepared for his coming.

Banu Bakr, without concern for the provisions of the treaty, attacked Banu Khuza’a in a place called Al-Wateer in Sha’ban, in 8 AH. Quraysh helped Banu Bakr with men and arms, taking advantage of the dark night. Pressed by their enemies, the tribesmen of Khuza’ah sought the Holy Sanctuary, but here too, their lives were not spared, and, contrary to all accepted traditions, Nawfal, the chief of Banu Bakr, chased them in the sanctified area — where no blood should be shed — and massacred his adversaries.
Khuza’ah at once sent a delegation to Medina to inform Muhammad, of this breach of truce and to seek help from Muslims of Medina being their allies.
After the incident, Quraysh sent a delegation to Muhammad, petitioning to maintain the treaty with the Muslims and offering material compensation. The Muslim forces had gathered in strength to settle account with Quraysh and for the final attack and the opening of Mecca.[2][3]
