  1. θ says:

Set of the basic belief in Qur’an and person of Prophet Muhammad is required in Islamic Faith. Since Hadith or Sira is not a “Prophet” by person, but just the acts (Sunnah) of Prophet, actually Hadith is not required as part of the basic belief of Islamic Faith.
Hadith is “necessary” or secondary belief because Qur’an and Prophet Muhammad command us Moslems to accept the acts of “Arab Prophet Muhammad”, i.e. the Sunnah (and as written in Hadith), as Qur’anic explanation. Qur’an is Allah’s revelation, Prophet Muhammad is Messenger of Allah, whereas the acts of “Arab” Prophet Muhammad is Qur’anic explanation per Q.41, v.44.

  2. θ says:

Per Q.41, v.44. Qur’an may turn to be “blindness” upon those who don’t accept a secondary belief of the Sunnah as Qur’anic explanation.
