According to the Unitarians only the Father receives Latreuo and there is no record in scripture that the Son receives Latreuo from creatures. However, there is also no record in scripture that the angels give Latreuo to the Father. Does this mean that he also is not God?

According to the Unitarian argument this is what we must affirm of the Father if the same argument proves that the Son is not God.

Nehemiah 9 v 6

King James Bible
Thou, even thou, art LORD alone; thou hast made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth, and all things that are therein, the seas, and all that is therein, and thou preservest them all; and the host of heaven worshippeth thee.

There is no record in the NT that the angels worship the Father using the word latreuo to designate this worship. According to the Unitarians we must conclude from this silence that the Father is not God because this same silence proves that the Son is not God.

  1. Anonymous says:

Daniel 3:28 mentions that the angel and 3 Jews render Latreauo to Jehovah alone.
The Greek rendering (Septuagint) of the verse uses the words “…aggelon autou…latreuosin mede proskuneosin panti theo all he to theo auton”
    Dan 3:28
Then Nebuchadnezzar spake, and said, Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who hath sent his angel, and delivered his servants that trusted in him, and have changed the king’s word, and yielded their bodies, that they might not serve nor worship any god, except their own God.
