Jesus says three times the words “I will raise him up”. Unitarians make Jesus a liar

John 6:44 “No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me

And I will raise him up on the last day. “No one can come to Me unless the Father
who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up on the last day.

John 6:54 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal

Whoever feeds on my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal
life, and I will raise him up on the last day.

John 6:40 For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the

For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who looks on the Son and believes
in him should have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.”

According to the Unitarians Jesus is only human. Some believe that he was an angel in his previous existence. So he cannot raise anyone from the dead. He is only a creature. He is only the agent through which the power of God is actively raising the dead, according to Unitarians. So wouldn’t it have been more honest for Jesus to say “God will raise him up on the last day through me”? That would have been more truthful would it not? To say “I will raise him up on the last day” is at the very least a white lie is it not? I wonder if Unitarians at least blush at the thought that they are making their secret agent a liar?

  1. Anonymous says:

It is Trinitarians that erroneously attribute the property of a Maker on the Preexistent Jesus. The Son is one of the Agents of creation in the past, not in Judgement Day. Jesus just shall raise up what is once existent. That’s the obvious property of the Agency. Lazarus is raised up, not created out of nothing by Jesus. Jesus changes the water into what we know as the wine. Nothing new. Jesus heals one blind man with what we know as the eyesight. Nothing new. Jesus multiplies what we know as the fishes and the breads. Nothing new. Jesus is born of without father just like Adam was. Nothing new. Jesus just ascends up to the same place where he is once. Jesus goes to Heaven to “prepare” the places in God’s mansion. et cetera.

  2. christian smith says:

Trines make Jesus a liar. Jesus said only the Father is the true God, but they said two more divine persons are God-beings.
Jesus even said calling him Lord would not save you if you do not follow his teachings. So do you think calling him God?
John 1:1 and the Peter and Thomas, etc called Jesus God but Jesus said in John’s gospel that being called God even by the Father does not make you divine. Jesus said only the Father is divine. And that is not a denying the antecedent fallacy. If you attempt to defend the trinity by using that argument, you will fail miserably, be careful.
Never mind trine. You will not escape your delusion unless God enables you.
    Peace.
